Gynecology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the female reproductive organ and the entire female body. There are more than one sub-branch belonging to this section and IVF is one of them. A person who studies women’s diseases and gynecological diseases and specializes in this field is called a gynecologist. A gynecologist is a doctor who specializes in the female reproductive organ, which includes the ovaries, cervix, uterus, vagina, fallopian tubes, and vulva. All problems related to sexuality problems, menstrual problems, birth control, infertility and menopause are examined and treated in this area. In addition, prenatal care is also provided by gynecologists.

In vitro fertilization, a sub-branch of gynecology, is a treatment applied by many women recently. Couples who cannot have children under this treatment successfully have children. We can also call this treatment an assisted reproductive technique. Problems of infertility, which are generally seen with advanced age, tube obstructions, infertility of unknown origin, various infections, poor quality and low sperm count and obesity, are eliminated by combining male and female reproductive cells in laboratory environments.

There are two different techniques applied within the scope of IVF treatment. These treatment techniques, which emerged with the advancement of medicine and the development of technology, are extremely successful and fast. In this way, many people are able to have children in a short time.
